If you start a guild with a bunch of misfit losers who have issues talking to women, introducing women into the group will make them think they have a chance to mate, and make them all hyper competitive with each other.

If you have a group of guys who are socially normative, and already have girlfriends and the like, introducing a girl will not make them any more competitive and they will still act normal.

Now, it will still change the social dynamics and possibly for the worst, but it wont be that shit show you get when a bunch of losers get put around a girl for the first time.

Me personally, I prefer the voice wuality and being able to host servers that are actually hosted on my hardware with Mumble and Murmur. Also helps there's no risk of your Mumble being taken down if there's 18+ content in a non-18+ channel because Mumble can't see anything that's going on in your server, since it's your server. That usually isn't a problem with smaller, more insular Discord servers but with bigger ones, I've actually seen it happen.
