Flamethrowers don't belong in FPS games. They require no aim, why would you play a shooter game and then use the only weapon which requires no aim?

because it requires no aim

Are flamethrowers the dark souls of combat weapons?
>>
It's a really fun weapon to use compared to the generic shlock you usually have to deal with

plus I felt they were balanced in TF2, short range, damage wasn't all that great unless you got the jump on the enemy or you had to switch to a melee weapon once setting them on fire

tf2 used to be so good

They do require aim though. If you don't hit the opponent with the center of your flame, you might still do damage but it won't be as effective. See also: grenades, rockets, shotguns, anything with splash damage or an AoE with a sweetspot.

Instead of waiting for some faggot to show up, why don't we talk about the best flamethrowers in video games?

Sniper rifles don't belong in FPS games. They involve no personal risk, why would you play a shooter game and then play it like a point and click adventure that doesn't involve any genuine challenge or possibility for retaliation?
