It's a good free to play model.

There is a hump you have to get over, once you get over this hump, and you've obtained at least one kitted weapon and frame that can last you into endgame, and accrue some resources, you will like me, be able to get even newly released weapons or frames within 30 mins- an hour of release, for free

Yes, a basic way to do this is to tun what are called Void missions, which drop prime parts

Some are worth more than others and it will depend on whos looking to buy what, but here are some rules of thumb

>full sets of parts (for a primed weapon or frame) will sell for quite a bit
>if nothing else, people will buy "junk" parts in bulk for 1 platinum a piece for the reason that there is a resource called Ducats you can get by trading in prime parts, you spend these Ducats at a special trader NPC that comes around every two weeks, and almost always sells neat or useful shit


The only, ONLY things in the entire game you cannot get without paying for are the cosmetics you can get from "prime access"

Which is basically just, whenever a primed frame is released, there are unique primed cosmetics (usually 2 or 3, but you get all of them if you decide to pock the accessories up) that just go up for sale, they're purely cosmetic, and in all my time of playing, only two instances of these cosmetics ever looked good to any degree (the ones that came out with Ember prime, and the ones that came out with Valkyr prime)

You have to pay/waste your time grinding for shit just for fucking item slots, though.

If it didn't cost like 1k plat just to keep shit in your inventory, it'd be a decent system. But that combined with the dogshit endgame in which there's absolutely no reason to keep grinding after you get 2 weapons with a couple of forma on them makes the game pretty shit.

Only a full overhaul would make this game decent. Movement needs to be made not shit, and the gameplay could do with being a little less entirely based on your build and mods, and have a small skill element.

the basic concept of warfame was to make a rat maze with a start, finish and objective end between. for the entire mission is lined end to end with randomly placed rooms from a titleset. doors in the game represent loading zones so you technically couldnt see 3 rooms ahead of you

for the very first time we are getting a wide open space to run and fly around in. It looks promising because its complete different from what players are used to but if you know DE's history they tend to disappoint.

I never touched Borderlands because it sounded like normie memeshit. Played enough Diablo for a lifetime in my teens so I'm not interested in PoE. As for Destiny, you're not really wrong, but it's a more quality package in my opinion. The grind in that game lies mostly in strikes which are unique from each other and more akin to handcrafted specifically designed dungeons, as opposed to warframe's same few mission types with randomly generated tilesets. Destiny's raids have also been extremely well made, and they should be because they are way too few and far between (which doesn't really justify it, but still, they are really well done). There is also a bunch of world stuff and PvP you can do to progress as well. On top of that the lore behind Destiny is extremely detailed and interesting to me and the setting / art direction for the game is overall aesthetic as fuck.

Despite all that being said though, I'm not playing Destiny anymore because the grind does get boring after a while. But Destiny is a game that I can come back to and enjoy the new content when it gets added. The new content for Warframe doesn't really add much at all to the game in my opinion. It's just more stuff to grind for, but not really any cool new experiences. The only notable thing they've added since the last time I played is a more cohesive story and a number of quests, which is nice but you run out of that stuff very fast, and I'm way too OP for most of it anyway.

I would be okay with it if it wasn't so poorly executed, and they weren't constantly thrust into the spotlight on most of the new quests since Second Dream.

it's felt worse and worse for me lately, with them adding enemies that are invincible to warframes, so you're required to use operators, which mechanically are barebones and awkward to use. as well as a part in the latest quest with a mandatory operator only combat section, which just feels like a cripplefight, and isn't the sort of combat I enjoy in warframe.
