I kinda like how GR handles it. It gives it some extra charm. How you go from a hobo looking for home, to meeting god and going into another dimension, to fighting a terrorist, to doing a fetch quest that ends up leading you to an edge of the world.

Quest presence is much more fleshed out in GR2, which feels much more alive than GR1 in general. That said, a disproportionate amount of them discourage shifting in some arbitrary form or fashion so the gameplay appeal of a lot of them take a hit, but on the flipside GR is far, far better at micro-stories and character banter than a coherent narrative and GR2 actually sees a little bit of world building and continuity across its quests. And of course missions are still around and generally as good as they were in the first game, if not a bit better.

I bought the Chinese version of Remastered since it had the best cover art (only marred by the extra text at the bottom). Game was great, like 9/10 in my book. I then bought the sequel and it was also pretty fun.

I don't even own a PS4. Luckily for me, a friend lent me his to play the games.

It is a fun game, with interesting characters and set up, and it has a nice visual style with good music. Overall, it's good to look at the screen and run/fly around the world.

I don't think it's a title which makes the PS4 a must, but it's okay.

I haven't played the 2nd game, but the 1st is pretty short. If you are good, I think you could finish it in one day.

The main downside is the story. You'll only realize this at the end. Maybe the 2nd game gives some resolution, but I haven't tried that yet.

Don't forget: nothing has to be perfect. It has its flaws, but it's a nice, charming game.

I own the original on VITA and the controls/camera were super janky.

Also everything just took for fucking ever. Load screens were super long, saving game was super long. Cutscenes and conversations with characters just dragged on forever but I think that's just largely a Jap thing (lemme just monologue like a books worth of information one line at a time instead of bothering to actually world build).

I know you are not the only one with that kind of problem, but still

The camera is only wonky in enclosed spaces with complex geometry, like those debris tunnels inside Neu Hiraleon. The said complex geometry is more of a problem on its own, because it's very easy to get stuck on tiny protrusions or uneven ground and your gravity direction fucked up royally because of that.
Thankfully most levels are wide and open enough so you don't have to deal with those problems in the first place.

If you mean how the camera isn't always aligned with the horizen it's 100% intentional. The game is originally called Gravity Daze, and it perfectly simulates confusion from zero-G environment.

Anyone completed Raven's DLC? I'm kinda confused about something.

If Raven altered time so she and Sachya were two different people + the bus crash didn't happen, how differently did her first meeting with Kat go down? Since they didn't have the misunderstanding to cause them to nearly kill each other, it must have been pretty different, but their conversations in 2 suggest they were still pretty antagonist to each other at the start.
