I remember umineko being boring as FUCK for a while. The end of the first episode gets really annoying too, and the beginning of the second is really weird. Somewhere along the line it becomes real good though.

the "problem" if there is one is that it's a rollercoaster both in terms of emotions and also in terms of quality. there's parts that are flat out amazing and there's parts that you will wish you were doing literally anything else.

so I guess "mediocre" is a way of saying it averages out. but the music alone adds an extra 4/10 to the score so whatever. but yes keep reading, if nothing else it's a hell of an experience.

brace for mild disappointment after you finish the first episode though, everyone goes through this.
