Can we have a Pyre thread? I know I'm late but I just beat it today and would like to hear what other people ended up doing.Who'd you free? Who'd you leave? Did your plan succeed?Who was best girl?

I leftVolfred, Bertrude, and myselfI really enjoyed it
Here's a question, what is the significance of the carving Volfred has on his head? Of the star with 3 arrows pointing downwards? It's also onThe reader's cloak at the end of the gameDoes it appear anywhere else?
>>386700215
You have it in the beginning when they pick you up, too. Maybe it just means reader? You got lucky and got a cloak with the mark, but since Volfred comitted such a huge crime, they branded him with it.Anyway, I left _ae, Ti'zo and Pamitha. _ae has Ti'zo and Almer, Ti'zo has Oralech and _ae, and Pamitha had Tamitha to keep her company. The most difficult decision was whether to send Oralech or myself at the end. Oralech wanted me to go, so I went.
>>386699986The plan succeeds regardless of your %, the only difference is how peaceful it went

>>386699986
Sandra and *ae are best girls.
>>386699986Freed Hedwyn, Jodi, Rukey, Almer, Rhae, Sir Gilman, and Volfred. Didn't realize that chump Oralech would jump off the falls, though, will probably free him next playthrough. Left Bert, Ti'zo, Pamitha, and myself - they all had relatively happy endings in the Downside, though separating Bertrude from her grannycrush was a tough decision.
best girl is sandra no question
also anyone playing the versus mode? was thinking the nightwings characters were overall pretty weak with default masteries, but after trying out different demons i think jodi is at least better than ignarius/oralechand gilman > sir deluge
>>386702448Under the right circumstances, Oralech will stay in the Downside and not kill himself
>tfw you wanted to comment but don't know how to use spoiler tags.
>>386702520that's if you throw the match right?
>>386703846
highlight the text then hit ctrl+s
>>386703964There's more to it than losing. You have to help him find his way. Convince him that Volfred truly is sorry about the things that happened. It's 1 dialogue option where you use your Reader superpower to telepathically implant it into his head
>lost liberation rite to the Fate fucking around with titan stars.
>Good guy Dalbert throws his son into the pool instead.
I swear those aren't tears b-baka.
How would you describe the art style of this game? I'm really interested in studying it.
>>386704504
Supergiant esqueI know it doesn't help
all in all i think it suffered once you had the choice to pick which match you do next. also why would they have a redo match button if the entire game basically revolves around permanent choices.
finally, tizo is fuckin rigged. best team, jodi tizo hedywn. jodi and hedwyn on D, tizo hops and flies for the gg. pamitha works pretty good too if you get that one artifact that makes her not get banished when she flies into the pyre.
>>386704918
Not being able to redo would drive away a lot of people from buying the game.
Also what was wrong with getting to pick your opponent? Without that option it would be impossible to get whatever combo of liberated exiles both Nightwins and Adversaries.
Ti'zo is rigged because the AI can't handle him. Most people have greater difficulty dealing with Crones, though.
>>386705532
i didn't realize this until lategame when the ai starts doing this to you, but you can block jumps and crone dunks with your own jumps
crones are definitely strong, but you often lose shootouts in mid when neither player wants to make a dive for the ball because your jump takes you so far
>>386706485
The game tells you pretty early on that you can block jumping players. Also it happened every time I tried to jump over an aura after about one third through the game.
It also works against Harpies and Imps that fly.
The Sap shield also works, since Saps can't jump.
>>386706808
really? i do remember the game saying that you could block flying dudes, i guess i was too slow to try it vs. ai jumpers
*blocks your path*
Hedwyn, Gilman, Jodariel, Tamitha, Rukey, Pamitha, Volfred.
>Nab orb with Ti'zo
>Run behind or right up to their Pyre
>Pass to the Pamitha in the back
>Die
>Bait other team forward
>Portal to their Pyre
>Dunk
>Full team next round thanks to Pamitha's Legendary Talisman
>Repeat
Too bad the AI never really got around to thinking with portals, but otherwise great game. I'm having trouble deciding whether this or Bastion is my favorite Supergiant game.
posting a few 4k screens
>>386708202
Got any of thefinal shot after the credits? Of the library?
>>386708297
no only a few in the early game, didnt get round to a 2nd playthrough yet since i switched to 4k
>>386708297
>big bertrude
>is actually pretty small
>>386710194
They call her Big B for her dunks, not for her size

Be a good boy and step aside, would you.
I missed a decent bit of lore in my first playthrough, but isthe mind-reading thing ever properly explained or mentioned? I know it has to be some side-effect of being a Reader
>>386711847
I don't think it was specifically mentioned again after that. I think the implication is thatthe reader learns how to do it as part of studying the rites and getting closer to enlightenment. The Voice later starts invading your dreams, implying that his mind-reading skills are even more powerful - since he was a reader long ago it makes sense
>>386708514
this is epic. thank you
>>386712529honestly it's kind of hard to imagine the revolution succeeded at all considering that the commonwealth elite is practically lined with powerful telepaths
>>386714373what use is speaking telepathically against physical weapons? the most they show is mild mind-reading and conversation
>>386714972mind-reading is pretty useful when you're trying to sabotage a covert organization though
and sure it doesn't help much against a bloody harp insurrection but mine was a bunch of guys singing kumbayah led by some hippie with a bird nest for hair
