are there modern versions of this game

Yes, Project Highrise.
It's shit. Some fags attempted to clone SimTower and missed the key gameplay element (elevator management), replacing it with stupid fucking busywork (connecting rooms to utilities and renovating them over and over again).
Fallout Shelter

damn. It looks really cool too.

Remember to attempt to place a lobby segment in the bottom left corner for a free 2 million simoleons.
I remember getting mad buttfucked by noise and roaches

There's a sequel?

Yoot Tower. By the same developers, not under Maxis or Sim.

>Oh no Sim Tower a bomb!
God damn, this game is comfy
>>386703532

Don't hire imposter mechanics.

>game runs in multiple windows
What the fuck, why
>Santa Claus is coming to your Tower!
>>386699445
which one is better. sim tower or yoot tower

Project Highrise was such a letdown on just about every one of it's mechanics. I remember being excited for the ability to make a twin tower setup only to find out that noise and smells travel through exterior walls.
Also the fact that shops rarely turned a profit no matter how much traffic they got.

>Where SimTower was mostly about construction and managing the flow of people about the building, we wanted to explore more deeply the economy, the dependencies and the relations that bind a skyscraper together.
So what went wrong?
