Yeah they added survival and reinforcements in an update a while ago.
They've been pretty consistent about adding new mechanics and modes every 2 weeks or so. It's only a matter of time until certain things get in.

This isn't even remotely true anymore. When the game first started then you could just get good units and do maps but now you need to actually use skill inheritance and skills to do maps.

Skill inheritance is also pretty trash because it now you have to roll for shitty units to make your good units actually usable. Some skills are literally tied to rank too and the unit needs to be that rank to pass the skill on, so you're forced to 5 star some shitty units just to pass the best skill onto an actually good unit.

It's actually less streamlined normal FE games(the ones without eugenics anyway).
