They removed the intro and thought that got rid of it. However, if you enter the game, then back out immediately, you get the text. Yes, it was kind of a half-assed way of removing the text and there was an oversight they didn't think about (starting a game then immediately leaving it).

When you start mm7 it skips straight to the title screen. The Nintendo thing only shows up if you wait long enough for the intro to start and then skip it causing the original startup sequence to play.
