I had to emulate it on my shitty laptop after playing the first three AA games on 3ds. It was AWFUL because it ran super slow (especially during the bracelet moments) no matter what settings I tried. I gave up after the first one and watched a no commentary let's play of it for 2 3 and 4, then braved the emulator for 5. I just didn't want to wait after powering through AA1-3, and the only avenue to buy a AJ cart was through ebay for $30.

I'll definitely /buy/ (pirate) this.

I definitely can't agree with that since 2's failings doesn't stop case 4 from being one of the best in franchise, and being a great send off for an otherwise shit game. 4 has the opposite problem where the best parts are the beginning. That's why 4 is worse. The set up and hook might be among the best in the franchise but the pay off is absolute crap.

People bought Ace Attorney 6 in Japan, though. I think it's mostly because it's not the "main series" that it didn't get much attention. It's a shame, because it's a more worthy successor to the main series than 5 and 6 are.
