Am I the only one that finds this game disappointing in comparison to the books ?
My biggest gripe is that the books set up a dangerous world where most of the time not even guns will save you and going to the surface is suicide unless you're armed to the teeth (even then you're probably not gonna make it). Only halfway through the book does Artjom go to the surface.
I feel like they should have focused less on action and more on horror.

ive never read the books but how exactly would you improve the gameplay? By having you run away and hide everytime you see a creature? If you play on the hardest difficulty with no hud, its a pretty good survival horror game, im not too awful at games and playing on ranger hardcore always had me scrambling for ammo and health kids/filters
