>game lets you walk around in the main menu
>game has an easter egg in the main menu
yeah desu it is nice, I like it when game menus actually run as a map in the engine.
What modern games do this?
>>386604815
scribblenauts
I loved being able to play as a Bulborb on Pikmin 2's title screen.
>>386605357
Well I'm not sure of any recent games that do this but I do know that the last game I played does which wasCod black ops 1
>>386605505
My playtime on scribblenauts and super was probably evenly split between the puzzles and just fucking around on the start menu.
Also OP, Super Mario Maker does this.

aren't you tied to a chair in that

>he doesn't know

You can break out of the chair. Then you can go play Zork on the computer behind you.

vectorman?
>>386605643
You can break out of it actually and play an old text based game on a computer.

Hell yea
GOTY every year
>game lets you walk around in the difficulty select menu
>hard mode requires you to jump over a death pit>nightmare mode is hidden in the corner of the world map

Name L I T E R A L L Y one game that does this
>>386606319
quake 1
>>386606442
I really need to get around to playing that and this just pushed it up the backlog
>>386606091
fuck yeahhhhh
>>386606118
What fucking corner??
>>386606692
I stopped playing because I fucked myself over. I did hard mode and shit was starting to get exhausting and tedious, like Jesus fuck stop sending me those giant fuxkers that take like 5 tickets to kill
But I couldn't go back to lower difficulties it was too easy. And that's how I stopped playing Quake 1

>What fucking corner??
iirc: jump down the far edge of the pit to episode 4 and you'll land on a wooden frame leading to an alcove with nightmare mode's teleporter
