Why do games only have one save slot nowaday to begin with? I've played games in the past with multiple endings which pretty much only rely on one or 2 choices at the end game that auto save after those choices so you have to play through the whole game again to see the other ending. No, but even games with "one save slot" should be making backups in case something goes wrong with the save. I mean the game could have just as easily crashed during saving, ruining the whole save anyways and there would be no way to undo it and would have resulted in the same problem. Even Dark Souls has this problem. And I have had a game crash during save before causing an error'd save. The community modders had to make a tool that creates backups because the devs didn't. Ridiculous.
