Because it's a PC exclusive people never talk about how good this game looks. Screenshots or short webms don't do it justice, the dynamic lighting and attention to detail is incredible. No other game comes close, which is lame since this is a shitty MMO.

I wish the forest would look like an actual forest. It seems more like a categorized playground instead of an immersive vegetation. Or to put it in buzzwords, it's too video-gamey.

I also own it and have ~800h logged. It's not that unoptimized.

It's proprietary tech with a lot of unique solutions for the desired results. Singleplayer is not unoptimized at all. In fact it runs great. But it has that little quirk where if you set your graphics options to low stuff gets assigned as CPU tasks that are otherwise handled by the GPU. So you need a fairly beefy system to begin with.

Multiplayer is a different story and that's where many design choices make things more difficult. I won't get into all that stuff like server performance because you sound like a dumb motherfucker not worth explaining shit to.

Granted MP doesn't run as well as A2 with a 100 people but the game is a complex simulation by design - and much more complex that A2. Players don't realize that enough. The game is fucking taxing on a PC.

There's like 17 stances to keep track of for each player over a HUGE terrain, vehicle states, health, radio channels, ballistics, AI routines, flight model, ZEUS etc. etc. and all at once.

I say it's a miracle it runs at all.
