Okumura's arc in general was a fucking travesty. I like Morgana, but his runaway scene just dragged out the beginning of the dungeon way too long. Then you get to the dungeon which was the most tedious shit. Not to mention I didn't find Haru particularly interesting. Also I got my dick kicked in by Okumura himself, not sure why I struggled with that boss so hard. Once Okumura died on TV, things got way better.

Hawaii takes too fucking long and happens immediately after the beach for no goddamn fucking reason. I would have rather gone back to Inaba.
Okumura's Palace is the absolute goddamn worst. The quality of the Palaces takes a nosedive after the Museum and doesn't start lifting up again until the Casino, only to go back down on the Ship and Mementos.

Shido is an absolutely lackluster antagonist that doesn't become relevant again until near the end of the game, and the fact that the fucking protag can't even recognize his goddamn voice despite literally hearing it everywhere is goddamn retarded and mind boggling stupid.

The idea and concept of the Palaces becomes lost over time, and you can tell with the castle that they were planning on making it so you actually had to clear a path, what with all of the different shortcuts and whatnot, but it's ultimately dropped because you can just warp there. Not to mention the alarm shit or whatever it was is ultimately pointless, making Ohya's Confidant the most useless bar none.

The game feels overly handholdy, and honestly, I feel like finding the true ending this time around is impossible, unless you just ignore Mementos entirely, which I personally think any player wouldn't do because it's essentially your main source of income, as well as experience. It's like they go out of your way to make it so players don't miss out on the "secret" ending.

How Akechi's character played out was awful

My biggest complaint is with the group dynamic. Haru got no screentime whatsoever and Ryuji, Ann, and Yusuke became side-characters once Makoto was introduced, even further shafted with Futaba. It's a real shame because I like how the group interacted when it was Ann, Ryuji, Morgana, and Yusuke. Even just a little more relationship building between characters would have helped this a lot, like the stuff with Yusuke and Futaba. It really feels like after Futaba the game was rushed writing wise

Oh yeah, I forgot a complaint.
Having Rivers in the Desert be heard MULTIPLE FUCKING TIMES kinda ruins it when you hear it consecutively.

Overall, can't really complain. Game of the year for me easily. The presentation is among the best I've ever seen in a game.

I went for dub because someone was watching me play for most of it and I was used to dubs for the games after P3 and P4.

The actual heists are super anti-climatic. You've got Life Will Change blaring and overriding the battle music, but unless you missed some chests you'll never get to enjoy it, there's no reason not to just hop to the newest safe room. Would've been cooler if the heightened security disabled the safe rooms and you would have to rush to the Treasure helter-skelter through shortcuts you opened as you went through the Palace the first time, and experience changes made to the Palace in their attempt to lock it down hard.

That's why Kaneshiro's is pretty good, you have a (relatively) long run up to the boss room.
