Can somebody explain to me how Lurkers are fair? They are literally

It depends.
If you are protoss the usual openning vs Z is to rush to high templar since storm kills lurkers and hydras very effectively.
2 Storms kills a lurker. If lurkers are too close together, you can find multiple lurker kills.

If they have too much lurkers and not enough hydras, even just a few dragoons with range can annihilate sunken colonies and lurkers all day long.

You're just not supposed to open with them. You make Dragoons in all match-ups, they are one of the best units in the game.

Dragoons are good when you've already got storm and chargelots. They increase the flexibility and power of your deathball. Especially in siege potential and stopping mutalisks from sniping your templar.

I was GM in SC2 and B+ on iccup. Hype as shit for SCR, but I can't make up my mind what race I want to play. I kinda feel like going for Toss and just cheese people for maximum asshurt but on the other hand tryharding with Z or T would be fun too.

Also, you can dodge their attacks you know that right? You need to split your units up. If you put 12 marines on a hotkey and 1A into them, you're dead, spread them out and have a couple medics and they are dead.

???? Because in ZvT the Zerg don't have the tools to bust the Terran player. And in ZvP you use Lurkers in the mid-game I think? Not the best at Brood War. Lurkers die instantly when you target then. Git gud with detectors. Lurkers are expensive and killing off a few early really fucks the Zerg player up

Well if you're Terran you have Wraiths and they're paper airplanes. If you're Zerg you have Mutas but ZvZ doesn't usually include Lurkers. If you're Toss............???????? Carriers and Battlecruisers are endgame units and by then Lurkers are the least of your worries. At least that's my understanding. Science Vessels are great for clutch Lurker removal. Tanks can work. Goons work. Psionic Storm works. Marines can even work if you're good. Brood War gives you answers

Generally in SC, every faction has great semi-broken units. Alone, Lurkers seem broken. But they can be soft-countered easily.

The Defiler seems broken, but it's soft countered by Science vessels and irradiate.

It's all broken vs broken and in the end it all evens out.

If there is one thing I hate about SC it's the fucking elitism. I was top Plat in SC2, which was better than like 85% of players at the time. In every other game that would have been a respectable position, but no, not in Starcraft. In Starcraft you need to be a 300+ APM turbonerd who's at least in the top 1% to even have the right to have an opinion on something otherwise you just suck at the game and don't know shit about anything.
