Is liking smash synonymous whit being a hardcore Nintendo fan?
Interestingly enough almost all of my Friends or people i met in general aren't fond smash.
And even when i have parities people would rather play Tekken, Soul Calibur, SF, KOf or GG or any fighter other than smash for that matter even US made ones like MK or Injsutice.
I dont even know anyone who actually likes smash (No one realy hates it ether but thy just dont care much for it)
Now i know for a fact some of them like Nintendo games, especially Zelda or Meteoroid games but aren't exclusively Nintendo fans but do own some Nintendo consoles but not exclusively.
They just like good games in general and Zelda and Meteoroid games are Mostly Good.
Me personally i kinda enjoyed plying it a but online on my Hacked 3ds for free but i like put maybe 10 hours in it max.
Even won a lot of matches but compare that to over 100 or even 700 hours in some other fighting games i play and you get the point.
So is liking smash realy just a Nintendo fanboy thing?

Smash is a great game, but not any one can play it now and is the same as the games go, only adding new characters or new modes and not putting something new, my friends rather play KoF 2002 than smash.

It's the only Nintendo game I've played other than breath of the wild, a couple of emulated games on my phone, and the Mario galaxies
I just bring it over and a couple of friends, all PC and PS4 players and a couple xbonefags and we have fun playing smash

I didn't know what jojo was back in the Ps1 era but Jojo capcom fighter was my favorite fighter of the era.
I also realy like Melty blood despite never plying Tsukihime.
A lot of people also like TVC despite half the cast being old obscure outside of japan characters.

To answer your question.
No.
I've met people who played like 4-5 nintendo games but still play smash and i like it because i play it since 64.
Pic related, the ones who have a black cross are the games i've played.
I'm not a Nintendo fan, i'm a videogame fan in general. I'd play anything regardless of platform.
