I'm personally more annoyed by EA/DICE and the Frostbite engine. They seemingly design their games so nobody can mess with them, with no user-hosted dedicated servers/etc.

Worse they're basically allowed to get away with it, and it's never brought up in the gaming press.

The FPS is low because everything in the map is loaded in the editor is loaded at highest quality, regardless of culling, mipmaps and model LODs. Once the map is compiled all of that shit is processed and it runs fine.
