Thanks to the anon who helped me revert back to the 1.0 release update (because new updated is incompatible with 1.0 saves)

>1. Close steam

>2. Go to "properties" of your steam shortcut and in the "Target" field put " -console" (with the space and without the quotes)

>3. In console paste "download_depot 650670 650672 6554375466229164673" without quotes

4. After it is finished downloading the depot, it will give you a directory in the console log

5. Go to this directory on your computer and copy all the files and paste them over the files in the Grimoire directory (say yes to all replacements)

6. Now back on the 1.0 version and can continue your save game

Somebody who has the latest legit version, have they fixed the scaling feature yet? On 1.2.5 if I have windowed mode and scaling the game crashes to a black screen, that's a bare minimum feature before I buy this.

What I did was installed the latest then just copy-pasted the 1.0 files from the depot over and it says it's installed on steam for me now. Hopefully automatic updates won't get me again.

Why direct that at me? I am unironically enjoying the challenge of this game. I don't have the experience of playing the old wizardry games so figuring out the way things work presents a bit of a learning curve. This game is showing me just how dumbed down and easy games like skyrim are.
I find the complexity of the systems appealing in contrast to the more streamlined hack n slash nature of most RPG's. I feel like I could be exploring this thing for 100 hours and still find new stuff.
