More like when doesn't it happen. Except for the part where I finish it later. That never happens.

Too many times to count. I'll start a game, get to a point where I've felt like I've had enough of it and a new hotness comes along and then I'll put the game back until I feel like I should be getting round to it.

it used to happen to me all the time with JRPGs, now if i "take a break" it's usually because i fucking hate the game for some reason.. take bravely default for example: i got about 20 hours in, loved the art and music, loved edea and ringabel, but i couldn't stand tiz or the horrible fucking story, OR the fucking mobile game bullshit that was shoehorned in. so i had to "take a break," aka never return again.

A recent example is rabi ribi on bunny extinction difficulty, i'm really closed to the end of the game but you get burned out practicing bosses for 20 hours at a time. i will return to that one though...

another example is spacechem, which i'm like 90% through but i suddenly lost the urge to finish it

I beat mgs4 after not playing for over a year. Recently beat XCX after not playing for little over half a year. Started FFXIIZA on release. Probably wont finish until next summer or never its kinda boring desu

I felt so good going into 12ZA, but then I got to the bone zone mines and farmed for a good two hours because that's what I wanted out of the game, to just slowly run around killing skeletons.

Now I have no motivation to continue with the rest.

I really like bad weebshit jrpgs, but I have no desire to sit through the grind needed to continue on with most of them. So I end up playing for about 10 hours and then drop them like the hot shit they are.

Things I spent hours on but never finished in recent years:
Fallout 3, Witcher 3, Tales of Vesperia, Utawarerumomo: futari no hakuoro (and I'm pretty sure im in like the last area), Neptunia re;birth (I don't see why people like this), titty ninja versus, harvest moon wii (the grind is pretty terrible), Demon Souls, muramasa the demon blade dlc (ninja is shit), dragon's crown (couldn't git gud or maybe I fucked up my build), kurumin? Gurumin? The one with the drill loli, FFT: wotl, eternal sonata (it's shit)

Things I finished in recent year that I can recall:
Utawarerumono: itsuwari no kamen, danganronpa 2, Gundam Breakers 3, Max Payne 3, freesia, strike suit zero

As you can see, the first list is way bigger than the second.

This happens way too often for me. I think I have unfinished games that I started in 2010.

All those games, not enough time to play them all, but I still wanna so I'll try them all out. Just 30mins each to get into it and then on to the next one. Rarely does anything interest me so I'm normally glad I didn't actually buy it.

I have never played 12 before. So ZA is my first time. I like some of the characters but the plot, at least to me, seems slow. Like nothings happened yet. Im at the part where you gotta yell stupid shit in the streets as Vaan. I do like the battle system though. The story just seems boring.
