Initial build of Dark Souls 1 was the easiest by far.

Iron Flesh trivialized the whole game and dragon head stone let you dupe infinite souls within like 10 minutes of starting the game

Those two grave wardens both walk in a predetermined path. One of them walks in a large circle around the room at the bottom of the stairs and the other one walks up and down the stairs.

If you happen to walk into that area at the right time, you will see them both and agro them both. However, it's very possible to agro the one in the room and fight it for a long time before the other one reaches the room again on its stair walk cycle.

I don't think they changed the cycle, OP just had a different experience due to RNG or from running slower/faster
