Steam has never had good games. It's honestly better now than it ever has been, but it's quanitity over quality. It's really because steam doesnt make games anymore. Also people pirate pc games so much it's a shit market to get into unless you make an online game.

I think the problem is that you have too much information available. If you couldn't view top selling games on steam you could go on and believe that whatever you like is the current top game. You would be much happier this way.

Nothing is wrong with gaming. There has never been a better time for games. Tons of fantastic indie games and some good triple a games released in the past few years.
