Those are the X and Y buttons, below them are the regular A and B buttons that come with the shell I bought. separately.

It's a DIY kit, you sodder on the pins to your raspberry pi zero or zero w and then connect the pins to the port and shit.
They say to use a drone battery as a power source.
The board they provide is the charge controller and I/O device that powers the screen and pi.
Since my Pi zero has wireless I'm going to use it for more than just an emulator. I'll use it as a file storage device and torrent movies and shit using deluge-console. I can connect a bluetooth keyboard and press control + alt + F2 to get to a terminal and do all that shit.
