1.5 feels like a proper Fallout 1 -> Fallout 2 transition in terms of lore.

It's VERY lore friendly, and got some superb FO1 atmosphere.

Nevada is supposedly super huge, with a better than FO2 quality.

We shall see.

Fallout 1.5 - Resurrection is a brand new fan-made CZECH Fallout game based on FO2 engine (its a mod of FO2 basically).

It happens between FO1 and FO2, is super lore friendly and feels like an authentic old Fallout game.

Fallout Nevada is a RUSSIAN mod, happening after Fallout 2 if I'm not mistaken.
It's MUCH bigger than F1.5, - bigger than FO2 even.
Both are considered the pinnacle of Fallout modding, they're practically brand new games that could very well be proper official sequels/prequels.

Olympus is a Fallout 2 total conversion mod - brand new story not set within the Fallout universe.
It's a russki RPG made on FO2 engine. Supposedly awesome, also being translated into English.

Some early forms of these tribes could exist but probably not in a recognizable way.
Depending on how many years before FO1 this is set that gap could be even greater.

Might & Magic is a wacky universe spanning 10 games and a much more well-known bunch of spinoffs with some of the best exploration made in gaming. Any game from MM3 to 8 is a good catalyst to the series. Nothing is more fun than actually being rewarded by exploration with powerful items while being encouraged by the game to break it in colourful ways and flying around the map throwing Meteor Showers at peasants from above.

Also there's Temple of Elemental Evil, I guess, though I'm not as much of a fan of it as some die-hard combat simulationists.
