Maybe because racing games are really niche and realistically there's not much money in them anymore. The people that love racing games probably play gta5 since it has decent racing and other elements.

i fell in love with it when it was in enthusia, and i've only ever seen it in TXR 3 and forza series after 4. Diddn't play 5 and 6.

That's another hidden gem, Enthusia. You could only play it with a steering wheel though.

The only games that have any serious eSport community are good sims like iRacing or Leagues in rFactor.

I kinda enjoy trying betting my own time on 'simulator' games, as betting my friends times so I enjoyed PC1, and i did like the games physics, although there really were little amount of cars.

Of course, if arcade is more of your kind, you will not like it. But since im not a fan lf arcade racing games...
