Did you later on try to sabotage his work and hope that the school system died off so he'd lose his job? That's what people are doing here with SF V.

SF4 was a passion project with a huge financial risk attached to it. It HAD to be innovative, and it HAD to succeed. It was desperation that fueled the success of the game that would rejuvenate the FGC.

SFV, however, isn't. Capcom knew they had the community and casuals eating out of their hands, and had much less risk attached. Now it's all about E-sports. Worse still, it's about E-sports but has also been grossly tuned down in complexity and difficulty, leaving pros (the 'heros' of the FGC) stuck in a shitty situation of playing a really unsatisfying game because its the only way to make a living from the franchise.

MVC:I is in the same boat, with MVC3 being another revival project riding off the high of SF4's success, now it's plagued with complacency again. No risk, so here come re-used assets, same roster, lazy visuals, and paid shills.

I don't think I even need to remind everyone of the SFXT on-disc DLC bullshit, either. Capcom needs to learn a hard lesson from these games, and telling people what they THINK they want. They just spent all of this time learning and mastering SF4, a difficult game in its own right, what makes them think SFV will appeal to them? When Joe Schmoe can do optimal combos in a day, one has to question the depth the game has to offer.

Having worked at McDonalds myself, I actually do hope that. I hope they actually find out what real frustration is like. Fuck them, playing games for a living is way more the easy life compared to that. I don't care how much "duress" you feel playing video games is, McDonalds is one of the worst jobs I ever experienced. So yeah, I do hope they get forced to get a job like that. While I agree that people playing videogames don't experience much of a "struggle", they'll never land in that type of situation because people who become great at something, anything really, all have one thing in common - they're able to hone a skill over a long period of time and use critical thinking to improve.

Idealistic view which is admirable but not accurate.
You need to understand that whenever someone gets paid for it, there's a market for it.
They don't magically get paid to do unproductive things without any reason (barring fraud), the service they provide is entertainment and it's worth as much as they're getting paid for.

Not taking into consideration the gameplay, which i personally don't like at all, Sf5 launched in a extremely lackluster state and it took almost a fucking year to add some more content to casuals and to fix the fucking lobbies. a month or 2 is already enough to fuck up a game's future but they took all that time to add a story mode that no one wanted and make the lobbies not extremely shitty.

MvC:I just looks like shit. I was all in about the gem system because i actually like Marvel Super Heroes but the roster doesn't look anything special, not having the x-men was a big mistake.
