I'm with you OP, I've consistently been in master's on and off since I started playing the game, anything below is absolute trash.
But others are right, the answer to your question is teammates. Unless you're consistently queuing with folks you know, randoms will inevitably let you down and fuck you over.

because you have to rely on your teammates in a 6v6 game vs. something in TF2 where it's 12v12

you are encouraged to main certain heroes only because they profit the most from sr gain (most prominently mercy, but also every major dps hero) because some of them rely on your team (like reinhardt, rein isn't a carry hero unless you got a mercy pocketing you, and even then, if a mercy is pocketing any tank besides using him as an ult battery, something has gone terribly wrong with your dps), and 90% of the time there is zero teamwork in your team if you're below mid-diamond

at rank 2900 I got placed in a ranking match with an unranked level 49 bastion-main, it's fucking retarded

as someone who has managed to climb from gold to diamond this season, most matches I lost were absolute bullshit, salty frenchfags and russians throwing, mercymains who can't play anything else, people who onetrick shitty heroes in general or onetrick a hero and somehow manage to be absolute trash with them

on console if I use a xim4 can I carry people to master if I use soldier or mcree

Bad teammates.

Generally the people who complain are people who are over average or above average skill, or get randomly paired with a bad teammate or two or three, etc.

Those bad teammates drag down the game and cause a loss regardless of how good the one good guy is doing. Which causes them to be placed at a lower rank, their nontrue rank, then they get stuck with more bad teammates, etc.

The amount of times Ive carried in games online, and yet still lose JUST BECAUSE OF HOW BAD THE TEAMMATES ARE is astounding.

I play Lucio and tell my team to group up and when were ready to speed boost and push.

The game is a lot easier when they're is coordination and focus, even when the players themselves are bad.

You played Season 1. It set everybody at SR50 which was equivalent to high Gold/low Platinum and it sets a dichotomy for your future ranks. People stuck at Plat have made new accounts and gotten Master/GM ez.

Git gud. If you are stuck in bronze/silver/gold/plat its because you are a shitter not because its your team. You may get unlucky with disconnects and troll teammates but if you are good you will climb.

Because not everyone can be in the top %. Someone has to be in the bottom %. Its why they have been so aggressive in shifting down players ranks. They didn't like how their bell curve looked and are trying to get people where they should be so its mostly uniform. For everyone one player in Diamond there should be one in Bronze. For every one player in Plat there should be one in Silver.

I'm not a fan of the ranking system, but the most annoying part of these threads are these faggots constantly blaming stupid teammates for their low ranks.

I guarantee you that everyone else on your team is thinking the same thing: "My teammates are retarded, woe is me because I'm so good unlike these shitters." You aren't the all-star in their eyes either. Take some responsibility for your own plays and stay away from the blame game. At the end of the day it doesn't benefit anyone.

If you seriously want to improve at the game, watch your own gameplay and learn from it. You will find mistakes. If you get trolls/throwers, the other team will too over the course of many games. Even if you get some shitty teams, if you're good, you'll win more on average than you lose. It's a time consuming process, but welcome to ranked.

Then you either need to help them or carry harder. Because if you're as good as you say you are comparatively, then it should be easy to defeat people of the same skill level and climb your way up.

As is it sounds like you're a dps player who either doesn't talk or makes useless callouts, and may not get killed while flanking, but doesn't do a good enough job of taking out the enemy's back line while the rest of your team gets killed playing a man down.

Work on things like calling out when to group up, when not to trickle, notify the team of which target you're focusing so they can help you kill them rather than letting everyone just shoot at whoever happens to cross their line of sight.
