While you get these eventually (except leveling part, most people don't even touch certain roles), the game basically asks you to be a veteran. That is fine, and making requirements even higher than that will won't fix the issue.

Yes, except for the party window (the most important one, I guess), it's on the default position. I try to rely on environment elements and sound effects to not fuck up mechanics because of tunnel vision issues, so I try to keep the center of the screen as clear as possible. I can check the window for debuffs and stuff with no issues (the new blue bar on top of debuff icons is really nice), but using it to target people is really uncomfortable.
I guess I could try to place the party window on the bottom right of the screen (and the chat window on some other place) if I can't get used to the other suggestions.

Funny thing; just 3 days ago (In Aurum Vale no less) my friend and I tried to explain to 2 DPS that they should be AoEing when we're pulling large groups.

No response. One of them went AFK for 3 minutes while the dragoon died from standing in yellow piss and eating an AoE, so my friend and I were whittling this big group down for several minutes because I need to conserve MP.

Pull the next group, now the other DPS goes AFK (at least they said so, I guess?) and we're left to do the group on our own again for a while. Then they both come back... and still doing single target. Then the silent DPS goes afk again after using 2 spells.

So honestly, we didn't bother sticking around.

Is there a way to check server population? I know there are two servers locked right now but I want to get off my dead one with some higher population.

So i've heard that with 462/466 base CP there's a level 70 2 star rotation you can do with NQ mats to make HQ ones 100% of the time? (Assuming food use, anyway).

Any idea what it is? I've got one that gives about ~91% but I feel like I'm missing something here. A full stack byregot's blow with great strides is just over a 5k quality hit, and that's barely 1/3rd of the quality progress.

I'll talk about Scholar since that's the one of three I play the most.

SS was good when you had bunch of dots. Now that's not the case.
Furthermore, you get more casts per second, which means more mana consumed. Very big problem on SCH.
And I think the biggest reason, doesn't do shit to oGCD heals, which are the majority of healing output. Not sure if it affects fairy either.

Other two don't have mana problems though, and I assume they do more raw healing, so not sure.

The worst part of being a SMN is if you die in the middle of your rotation due to mechanics or something, you are completely fucked for like a whole minute or two after being rezzed to rebuild up your dps. Like no other job gets that fucked from a death, they can just pop back in with their opener again while SMN has to regain aetherflow, resummon your pet, and build up to Bahamut all over again.
