They really had no clue how to fit them into the main story, or have a significant side quest. Also you would think Radovid AND Nilf would have wiped them out when the two sides met, and it seems like it happened.

I assume they wanted to focus more heavely on the Northern kingdom and Nilfgardian empire rather than add tree boys and girls in to the mix.
