I played it a few weeks ago on my EVGA GTX 1070 SC with 144hz monitor on ultra settings. The game is beautiful and id Tech 6 gave me a massive hardon but the game itself got boring as fuck fast. It's like 10 hours of "walk down a hall, get locked into a chamber, ambushed by 30 enemies, kill them, doors unlock, walk down the next hallway, lather, rinse, repeat."

That title card screen was pretty awesome and when you reach the surface of Mars for the first time, it made me wish there was a remake of Red Faction or Red Faction Guerilla in id 6 on the way, too bad that will never happen. Fuck, even Fallout 4 modded and rendered in id 6 would make my dick explode with the force of one thousand Hiroshimas.

DOOM is good, Dishonored 2 is good if you've got a 1060 or better, Prey is alright if you like Bioshock

Okay, I'll buy DOOM right now. I liked Dishonored so I'll give Dishonored 2 a shot, but I'm not really sure about Prey. I might just wait for the next sale.

Have you heard of DOOM, you should probably try it when you decide to buy a new pc.

I'm gonna be the first to say it:
NuDOOM sucks. It's repetitive, tedious slog, and totally patronizing, having tons of modern console-trash (upgrade systems, collectibles, menu-surfing, cutscenes, finishers...) slapped into it, and ALL combat happens in tiny lock-down rooms, against tiny, spawning waves of enemies.

Want a game that's practically Doom4, but good? Get Serious Sam 3: BFE. It's a brilliant benchmarking tool as well, thanks to its gigantic options menus.
