I thought the opposite for a while. Stuck in 2800-2900 but I knew my DPS was at least at 3200-3300.

However I was a cuck and always filled. The day I stopped I launched into Diamond, exactly where I thought I'd be.

Diamond is by far the worst bracket of them all. My main is 4,2k (trying to be top500 but not even nearly good enough) and raised my friends account from gold to masters for gold gun points and honestly diamond games are by far harder to carry than masters games because everyone in Diamond actually think they are good in the game when they are fucking terrible. Diamond players also are toxic as fuck because they actually believe they can play the game at all. In gold you mostly just laugh because people are so bad you can practically carry with playing battle mercy with gun.

Hit SR 70 in season 1 and dropped the game when I released the hero's skillset design and general movement of the game was so fucking poor that it'd never even be a halfdecent competitive game.

Have never once had the desire to go back and re-download it. It's no surprise that it's done nothing but slowly decay in player numbers since release. A slow, tedious death was the only reality for overwatch.

After that I pretty much dropped the game. When people say they "carry" it typically means they make one solid play and get a few kills and their team moves in to clean up. Even with an ult solo killing an enemy team is nearly impossible, assuming they're even semi competent. The game is just designed from the ground up so that the solo player has a minimal impact.

I think they toned down winstreaks in the current build of the game. You have a hidden MMR that is your "actual" rank. The system will either give you more or less SR depending on how close your comp rank is close to your hidden MMR. For example if the system recognizes you as a GM smurf at silver you're going to be gaining 100+ SR per game while only losing 10~ to get you out of silver.

If she has line of sight on you you cannot deploy, all you can hope to do is plink her to death with your spammy gun. That's the main issue with OW's ranked system, you need consistent wins to rank up. If you're winning one game and then losing the next you'll pretty much be at a stand still. In CS if you top frag in a game and win you get a ton of points, and at the next game if you top frag and lose you lose a minimal amount of points.

Your consistency of wins can easily be swayed off by leavers or just by having one bad teammate that's useless. That and personally I've never been a consistent player, and getting screwed because of it isn't fun.

If you browse the forums you can find the statements from the developers detailing how the SR system works. Basically, your SR tries to reach your hidden MMR. So if your MMR with a hero is high, even if you lose, SR loss will be minimal and a win can negate several losses in order to get your SR closer to your MMR.

Those are shitters who think the bulk of Mei comes from her freeze. It's not.
The pro do not use her freeze as their main offensive capability. They use her icycle. The icycle is extremely powerful and can one shot a tracer, it does 75 damages bodyshot, it's better to use it than your slow dangerous freeze that force you to be close to the enemy. Mei is not boring. And she is certainly counterable and most of them are very bad at 1v1 him and predictable.

Also, little tips if you are an Ana main: Use Mei's Icycle as much as possible, as it has the same property as the sleep dart: Warm up time, Projectile speed, Projectile size.

Overwatch has re-playability issues out the ass. It's not enjoyable unless you stack with friends who are pretty much the same rank as you.
I play QP with friend who are Gold and Plat, with mixed results. The majority of my friends who have started when the game came out don't even log-in anymore. OW is fun at first but it gets really stale fast.

I never got past Diamond and never claimed to be good at the game, in fact I sucked with most heroes even with easy ones like Soldier76 or Lucio.
