to add to this, if they wanted to make a ff character appear in smash they should have done is make a duck hunt clone and make the dog a chocobo and the duck a moogle and have them cast spells from the series, and for their final smash summon knights of the final fantasy meaning all of the FF mcs and finished it with a fat chocobo landing on tip of the enemy.

At the end of the day, Sakurai has one golden rule when it comes to including characters into Smash: they have to originate from a video game. It's literally the one thing every character in Smash Bros. has in common. As long as he's around, Goku will never be included.
