Anyone else actually prefer Elder Scrolls on console?

Yeah I get the awesomeness of mods and PC graphics options and all that, but maybe I'm just colored by my experiences. My introduction was Morrowind and I played that on the original Xbox, and ever since then I've just always viewed TES as a "big screen" experience. So even if it doesn't look as good or have access to the mod library, the fact that I'm playing on a fuckhuge screen with my surround sound makes the experience markedly better for me.

Anyone else have similar feelings or am I just that one lonesome faggot?

Also, Elder Scrolls thread.
>>
Eh. I first played Morrowind on the old Xbox too, but when I later played it on PC I was able to make it such an even better experience with mods that I never really looked back.

I prefered playing Skyrim with a controller on the PC because the game was obviously designed for one and using the keyboard and mouse felt like a patched in afterthought. I wouldn't have wanted to actually play it on a console though because mods really take the game to a new level. And I wouldn't play Oblivion or any of the previous games with a controller because they were actually designed to be used with a keyboard and mouse.

ftfy

You really think Oblivion wasn't designed for a controller with that menu system? Darnified UI wouldn't exist otherwise.
>>
>>386188567
PC has the most advantage though. Since bethesda is an incompetent piece of shit company, it's game has a lot of bugs. Thankfully their game features console command on the PC version that allow for easy troubleshooting and fixing with the help from the game's Wikipedia.

Mouse and keyboard* not controller. Derp. It's Friday and I'm drunk.
>>

You know you can literally connect your PC to your TV with a controller and get the best of both worlds?

OP is a retard
>>
>>386189085
I don't think that's right. It's like saying the interface in WoW was designed for consoles because it's shit and there are mods to fix it. They both still feel more like PC UIs to me than console UIs.
>>
>>386189306
I dunno if I agree with that. Even Skyrim's UI was more mouse and keyboard friendly because you can WASD your way through all the menus whereas in Oblivion you have to mouse click through everything. Oblivion seems the most console friendly of all.
>>
>>386188567
You can plug a pc into a tv, problem solved.
>>
>hook pc to tv
>get wireless controller and Bluetooth it to PC

theee you go you havw the console experience with all the advantages of a PC
>>
>>386188567
My first experience with morrowind was a big screen and surround too. Because I'm not an idiot and could plug my PC into my TV.

I see having to click things as more mouse and keyboard friendly. You can hardly click with a gamepad. But you can "WASD around" with the D-Pad, which is why Skyrim was designed that way. Pic related, that piece of horseshit was designed specifically for a joystick.

That's all I needed.

Favorite city in the whole series?

Favorite quest?

Favorite item?

Doing some 'favors' for Daddy Curio.

The crescent Daedra blade you can steal from a Telvanni mage.

The funny thing is that Oblivion has shit controller support on PC even when it's obvious that the UI was designed with controllers in mind.

Console players are so cute and naive
>>
>>386188826
I have to agreed, I have controller plugged into my PC at all times and the keyboard stops working for me when I start Skyrim and Fallout 4.
>>
>>386190347
So that's why you look like this, makes sense. Only an emotionally fucked up person could play elder scrolls games on the console that long
>>
>>386194806
There are mods for that
