That's the thing; most of them don't have that. There are some older people (40s+) on the forum who are genuinely well off, but the place tends to attract the kind of person who can't really find success in life, whether that be in terms of romance, a career, or just having friends. On average, I'd say /v/'s better off than most people on GAF. Granted, part of that's just because of how much 4chan's demographics have changed over the years, but a lot of people on GAF could give Wizardchan a run for its money.

/v/'s got problems and the userbase has issues, but at least we're aware of it.
