It really isn't a bad game.
It got screwed over for the JonTron fiasco and by unskilled reviewers who were surprised that the game doesn't hold your hand.

FTL, Expeditions Conquistador, Banner Saga, DivOS, Chivalry, Giana Sisters, Kentucky Route 0, Shadowrun games, Volgarr the Viking, Risk of Rain, Shovel Knight, Shantae HGH, etc.

While not everything out of it has turned out to be 10/10, there's been plenty of games that are at the very least decent.

YL was okay, the worlds were a little too big and flying makes every other form of movement pretty useless.

Shovel Knight is so fucking good.
I haven't beaten Specter Knight yet but goddamn, all of the content is a joy to go through the first time and even on subsequent playthroughs. Great game.
