Metroid Prime. Imagine a little 8 year old playing that shit for the first time. it was terrifying and awesome as shit, wandering these creepy, but pretty alien landscapes and reading all the scans. All the Chozo Lore fucked with my brain as a kid. The world was so alive and believeable, too. Elevators to Tallon Overworld had those vines growing over them, the elevators to Magmoor from Phendrana were all melty, and the Crashed Frigate was just mindblowing as a young boy.

I want to expericen BoTW from 0 again, specially since my brother spoiled half the game for me out of nowhere even though i avoided all the spoilers on the internet for a couple of months.

Guild Wars 1. I gave an audible whoa when I saw the Jade Sea for the first time. As much as a I hate GW2, they did a great job showing it again.

I remember buying it back in the day not knowing anything about it. When I seen the first enemy I was absolutely blown away, I had no idea the PS2 could handle something that big. I actually thought the enemy was just going to be in the cutscene at first.

This game blew my child brain when it was released. I spent so much time just fucking around, enjoying creating towns and planning defenses for them for an imaginary enemy. It was so beautiful and I loved every second of it, even though I never got good. In fact I don't think I ever beat the AI in a fair match for like the first two years I played this game.

My friend (who got me into it in the first place) spoiled Aeris dying without batting an eye. I spent my first play through bracing myself for it, but in a weird way, it actually enhanced the experience for me. Knowing that she was going to her inevitable death gave every interaction with her an element of sadness beneath the surface. I'll admit that I almost cried during the gondola ride at Gold Saucer (I was 12).

It's sort of like what they were going for with Yuna's story in X, except this was actually effective for me.

They should finally make two difficulty modes. One for the kiddos and another one where you NEED the real nigga teams with planned movesets, proper roles of pokemons and EV/IV stuff.

Also forced set battle mode, switch is for ultra casuls.. you never need to really think about safe or unsafe switches and walling if you just get announced what the enemy's gonna send next with you being able to conveniently switch before it happens. Sorta invalidates defensive mons.

At least there are some romhacks that get it right?

Morrowind. I had never played a true open world, and pretty early on I found the scroll of mega-jump and clean took off across the map.

I was amazed. And when I landed I spent hours running away from flying monsters that I was way unprepared for. Pretty soon I was in another dimension. Game blew my mind

Mass Effect 1 was the first RPG I ever played and everything about it blew me away. I bought it on impulse at a car boot sale one day and it has to be the best £12 I have ever spent in my life.
