Do you guys think skeletons in videogames are properly represented?
They seem to be overwhelmingly seen as negative figures or associated with evil, when they're not outright enemies to be dispatched by the player, and I think we need to discuss this issue.
Where are the friendly skeletons? Why do game devs think it's okay to simply slap a few hostile skeletons here and there? And more importantly, where are the playable skeletons?

I think this stems from the belief that things that are dead should stay dead. People fear death, and skeletons amplify that fear as well. Necromancers are seen in a negative light as well for tampering with the threshold of life and death, something religious people think is a task left for their lord. Also might I suggest medevil starring friendly neighborhood skeleton Sir Daniel. There's also the renowned Grim Fandango. Both awesome games with good guy skellies

HOMM3 is a great game for positive skeleton representation. You can embark on a grand quest to convert all living things into skeletons, and bring about the great revolution of equality where everyone sheds their skins and differences becoming one big ol pile of bones.
