i tried it over the free weekend, despite all the steam reviews telling me it was a buggy crash-prone mess. never once had it crash on me.

what made me uninstall was the boring maps, matchmaking that put level 1 free-weekend players like me into games with prestige 50 cod pros, rampant cheating in nearly every game, and not being able to find lobbies for any game mode besides tdm.

The COD series went from being started by PC-first devs to a trio of console-only C-Team devs.
Each COD since Blops has been getting worse and worse stability and quality wise. Not just on PC but even the console versions are fucking up.

Zombies in Spaceland is the best Zombies Call of Duty map in my opinion. Campaign for Infinite Warfare was also really good for a CoD game. Even had space ship fights.

What's a good fps on pc? I've been looking for a new one to play lately and haven't found anything that grabs me. Overwatch got boring real quick, I tried Dirty Bomb but the grind to unlock classes and the loadout "cards" system annoyed me. I don't like the hundred player zergfest battles and dumb vehicles of Planetside 2.

Is there a decent pc shooter out there that isn't dead besides Battlefield/CoD?

I bought Titanfall2 for the coop Frontier defence mode but ended enjoying its gotta go fast multiplayer. The game is a bit different than other fps, it might fill your odd itch.

It's funny how the original MW1 is still a better multiplayer game with people actively playing it even in 2017.
The private servers definitely helps the game in the long run and the gm monitoring fends off cheaters better than VAC.
