Nah. The battle system is amazing but that's the only thing the sequel has going for it. The lore, story, characters, forests, just about everything else was better in the first game.

I don't quite remember how 2 was, but the first game was slow as fuck too, mainly the capture animation. Also it has straight up plot points that lead literally nowhere, or are conveniently forgotten about, the original game doesn't follow its' own lore, but I don't remember how the second game affected the first outside of Levant being a weird hippie guru
not even getting into the tank controls

I think my local video game place must have been owned by patricians because I've always played nearly every game in these threads even if it was just renting it once.

I still don't buy this since there hasn't been video evidence of it and the method on how to obtain Vatolka and it's different elements changed based on who's telling the story. Until someone uploads a video showing that their PS1 hasn't been tampered with(gameshark/action replay/etc) I won't believe it.

it's somewhat similar to character creator functions in other games that have sliders with different proportions for the same model

basically every minion in the game has the exact same number of polygons in each of its body parts, just with wildly different proportions, animations, textures, etc. when you mix two different minions together, it scales each segment of the body in different amounts based on the position of those polygons, then decides which skin and animation to give it based on the order you mixed them

I also like how features carry over to the merged minion and how they are removed if you keep merging it with minions that don't have those features. For example if you merge a minion with wings the merged minion will have wings. If you merge that minion with a minion without wings it will still have wings. If you continue to merge it with minions that don't have wings the wings will get smaller and more transparent until eventually the merged minion will no longer have wings.
