Too much graphics, makes it hard to see enemies on screen when there's so much detail. I'd rather play the low poly version which is much clearer. Plus, DQ games don't feel right in other platforms. It's pretty much a Nintendo exclusive franchise at this point.

right now i'm really only keeping my eye on either the ps4 or switch version. 3DS just looks a bit too dated for me. ps4 looks nice and smooth. if the switch version has the ability to play like the ps4 or sprite based 3ds version that would be amazing, especially for on-the-go as switching (heh) to the sprite version for handheld mode would save tons of battery life

In the 3DS version you choose the actions of all your party at the beginning of the turn, like in every other DQ game.
In the PS4 version instead, you command each character when it's his turn to act. So you no longer have to worry to know the speed of your characters and the monsters, or try to predict if you'll need an emergency heal or worry to waste attacks if the enemy defends or buffs himself.
It's a change that removes a layer of strategy that the series always had to make it easier for ultra casuals.

There's hardly a gap between both versions and that's telling considering the PS4 has a vastly lower install base compared to the 3DS. The PS4 is currently surging in Japan, its here to stay.

Also I'd be damn if this game never makes it onto the Nintendo Switch, its perfect for that device, they could combine both the 3DS/PS4 version together.
