Just a reminder that Steam users don't actually own the games they buy.
>>
Its I don't play the games I licensed
>>
just like any software that doesn't respect the 4 freedoms of software.
>>
>buying games
People actually do that?
>>
>>386088894
Just a reminder that bank users don't actually own the money they have
>>
You never own the games you buy. You have always had a license to the game. Do you read the EULAs you agree to? They're in the game manuals for most physical games.
>>
Reminder that Valve can ban your account and you'll lose access to all of your games.
With cds or zip disquettes you won't lose your games.
>>
But humble bundle users get both steam and DRM free versions
>>
>>386089489
Those EULA mean shit in my country, I own those games
Sorry that you live in a cuck country

Sorry sweetie
>1) Valve reserve the right to suspend or disable any account.

>2) VAC bans will restrict access to secured servers for that game permanently

>3) Approved developers may issue 'Game Bans' for their products which can also result in permanent restriction to online games.

>4) Read your licensing and contractual agreements in full for specifics.
>>
>>386089919
dude I promise you that you're still the only person who says sweetie, it's just you, remember when I said you should just use a tripcode named sweetie? Fuck you

Yes typically for fraudulent uses such as credit card scamming, miss use of the market, etc which isn't easy to falseflag

Nothing you should worry about, there have even been multiple VAC ban appeals lately

Not worried -- also don't cheat

Its not just one person

True of any game that includes DRM hostile to the user.
Most games on Steam for Linux don't include DRM, including AAA games that on Windows are encumbered with third party DRM above and beyond what Steam itself provides.

When you buy a game, you buy a license to use the software. Unless it is specifically stated in the terms of use that you buy the license for a limited time period, you own the right to use the software forever. Denying the user, who bought the license, the ability to play the game in such a case is grounds for complaining to the consumer right protection agencies, who will fuck the seller out of existence, you don't even need to sue or start any form of other legal action, there are people who will do that for you. This is how it works in the EU, I'm not sure about cucked countries like the US, though.

You know this is true for every piece of code and content you didn't write/compile/create yourself right?

This is how software licensing works. You don't own Windows, you don't own Splatoon 2, you don't own anything.

I'll probably die long before Steam does, so I'm fine with it
>>
>>386090971
b-but i have a physical disk!!1
>>
>>386091510

This. Any situation where Steam completely 100% dies is either verging on impossible odds or at a point in time when I'm dead and pretty much all of its library is available elsewhere.
>>
>>386091570
What's hilarious is people don't even understand what this means. Break the licensing conditions and they have the legal right to serve you a warrant and seize any physical copies or devices that contain their licensed code.

I mean obviously a company isn't going to do this over $60 but at least don't make retarded comments trying to make digital licensing any different from physical licensing.
>>
did you know that if microsoft dies you won't be able to validate your windows install!?
>>
Yes i do, i have a windows virtual machine with steam installed on it :^)
>>
>>386088894
sure i do
>>
>>386088894
You don't actually own any land you buy either, I don't see the problem. Grow up faggot.
