Have you not seen the New Vegas threads? Rockstar isn't the only dev that gets a pass. Aside from Obsidian there's also CD Projekt Red, Valve and Firaxis that most people here like and those are just off the top of my head.

I always wondered what it was that irked me about a lot of newer anime, and I found out it's how flat the shading is, giving the characters flat faces. Literally the addition of a single color and effective use of highlights will work wonders to make a face look three dimensional.

Too many greats have fallen. Halo used to be a mass franchise that was widely praised, that all ended after Reach. Bungie got cucked by Activision so Destiny is only playable with DLC. On the note of DLC, Battlefront was shit and was not worth it unless you had the DLC. Battlefront 2 looks like microtransaction hell. Ubisoft, enough said there. These days too many western developers are focused more on money and less on what the fans want and crave. They make games that are the same repetitive shit as the last $60 you wasted with a new title. Too many games don't give you a reason to keep playing them, they lose their entertainment value far too fast. Nobody wants to play a game where everything is randomized and you can't earn anything through progression (Halo 5 is a great example there) and nobody wants a game where the only reason for it to exist is money. Put love into a game, you'll get love back. More developers need to learn this, especially western ones.
