My mom beat Zelda II, Final Fantasy I and alttp when I was a kid

3 years ago I gave her my classic 3ds; she beat ALBW then Oot 3d.

My mom played videos games up till the late PS1 era. The PS2 era is when she didn't cared for games anymore and thought too violent. The GTA3 media attention didn't help.
She still plays puzzle games on her iPad. I can recall her favorite game they we played together was Tetris attack on snes and that cube puzzle game on PS1...(Intelligent Qube?)

My Mom and Dad beat Ghosts and Ghouls on Genesis when I was a kid.

Now my Mom only plays Mahjong.

My mother (RIP) briefly played Tetris Attack with me. Got a screen-clearing chain and destroyed me in versus, purely by luck.

When I was growing up she played a lot of phantasy star, final fantasy, suikoden, heroes of might and Magic, and Kings quest, among other like jrpgs and adventure games. I think she's kind of getting back into games now after a hiatus. She just got a ps4 and the new kings quest that came out.

My mom is obsessed with puzzle games and has finished all the Prof. Layton games and I just turned her onto the Phoenix Wright series.

Also, she won't play them by herself but she loves helping and throwing in comments whenever I play through any Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy, or Persona games.
My dad won't play through the story of most FFs with me but he does like looking at the graphics of them and will happily sit and let me summarize the entire game for him.

My dad used to play video games a lot and kind of got me into them. Nowadays all he does is watch shitty TV-series. I've had little luck getting him back to the PC, but he's taken up mobile games. Strangely enough, the game he plays is Fire Emblem Heroes which is very character focused, but he doesn't give a shit about the characters and only cares about the gameplay.
