For me, I brought it about 4 months after launch and I like it right now, only because games I want have already come out. Plus it kind of beats having to go through hell trying to find one during the holidays.
But it depends. In my opinion it wouldn't hurt to wait until Christmas because by then even more games would already be out.
once mario odyssey comes out though, it just may be even more harder to find the switch
