This is more likely for GTA 7 and much more so for GTA 8 as the internet proliferates and less investment goes into single player games as a whole. There's already a trend for this now, a decade + from now I could definitely see it.

GTA 6 is more likely to double dip on the online and either slightly exceed(new tech) or slightly downsize the single player somehow.

I played this for the first time in a while yesterday. Went into a race playlist, some of the people there had like 5000 won/10 000 lost races. That's just insane, I mean I've done like 1000 races over the years but 15 thousand races in one game that isn't even really a racing game, that's something. I know sometimes you see those people with like 99999 races but these guys were in some type of racing crew so I don't necessarily doubt they've even inflated the number

Also speaking of races is there no way to mute everybody? I think that was possible on PS3 but on the PS4 version you have to mute people manually every time a new screeching Mexican joins the game, while you're already in the race

I just remembered that V didn't even have multiplayer available for its first two weeks and when it finally launched it was a gigantic clusterfuck.
