I unironically thought FFXV was pretty good. Flawed in a lot of places, but the core of the story (four bros on a roadtrip standing by each other as the world crumbles around them) and how that was reflected in the gameplay kept me hooked from beginning to end, and that ending was beautiful. hopefully the content updates will fix the game, Squeenix seems intent on sticking with XV for the long haul.

I have no dog in this fight though, I just bought it for my waifu's insert songs. God a pretty good game out of it though so no complaints.

What's the stoy with Nomura and FFXV. I don't pay much attention to video games making off and stuff like that.

I enjoyed XV, combat wasn't fantastic but it felt good enough when I got the timing right to keep the game enjoyable, and it's a big step up from XIII's pain-in-the-ass stressful combat.

I'm big on the exploring and stuff, my only real complaint with the game is that it was unfinished/couldn't change the nomura bits and I couldn't explore the other continent.

I'm happy they're still updating the game constantly and I will definitely pay for DLC that adds more explorable shit. Though I think they'll pull an XV-2 instead which would be lame.

No it isn't wrong. And I was talking about how it works in regards to KH and how it would in XV, not DMC so I don't know why you are even bringing up DMC.

In KH all a launch does is send the enemy up so they are momentarily vulnerable so you can wail on them during that window, the same thing applies to the vulnerable state in XV which you send enemies to on the ground, the only difference is KH does it in the air while XV does it on the ground. Plus you can stunlock different enemies too.

I'd wager if you had hit him with a finisher that would've knocked him out of but the point still stands, a giant golem enemy, in the middle of an animation such as getting up after being knocked down, attacking or jumping does not stagger because he is in the middle of an action and has "hyperarmour" but does when he is open to attack or hit by a finisher. The game is an unfinished mess after you leave with the boat, but the ending was great and the first half is really entertaining. Overall, it was disappointing to the young fan in me who was waiting for Versus XIII, but I'm glad I played it and I'll gladly replay it like all the other good FF games.

Considering the development hell it went through, it's amazing that it still ended up having so much stuff I enjoyed. It could very easily have been another cancelled game forgotten in time.
