I admit, I sometimes force myself to finish a game just so I can toss it on my pile of completed games while I could have been satisfied around halfway. Sometimes the scenario or gameplay is not engaging enough to warrant more investment, like when a game stops offering new challenges or interesting plot elements after a few chapters.
No genre is safe for the trap of padded content for the sake of having artificially more to do.

If you couldn't finish a game recently, let it rest for a while. And if your thoughts wander back to that specific game in the future, try it again and see if there is any newfound motivation or your perspective on the content has shifted.

My problem is that I spend way too much time fucking about on 4chan and YouTube instead of playing games. I feel like I should cut down on my YouTube time, and quit 4chan entirely. I don't have the willpower to do so, though.

I started running. Rewarded myself with 30 minutes of games for every 1 mile of running.

Also, deleted all games but 2. Kept two, completely different genre games.on my install list.
