The tech they used was extremely limiting and crappy. If you didn't notice everything else in that game besides the face felt like a PS2 game.

Adds a ton of space, costs a lot, doesn't serve any good enough purpose in games other than LA Noire.

Perhaps its because of how goddamn expensive it was and seemed more like it was meant to impress credits and not the people who fucking buy the game? It was another shitty gimmick, to hide the fact LA Noire is a average at best game.
