Which it fails at horribly. The appeal was to see both the cast interact, but what the fuck is the point if nobody has the same personality? The majority of the cast members are using fanfiction tier versions of their characters while some are using entire different personalities to begin with. Marget is the perfect example of this, she isn't Margaret at all.

My argument is not stupid, your logic is just terrible. The main selling point of the game to PERSONA FANS is seeing both cast members interact for the first time and getting enjoyment out of what these completely different groups with different personalities, abilities (somewhat) and groups would say. This fails when everyone in the game are barely the same character and 90% of the interactions are just everyone being the comic relief character. This is where most of the hate from PQ stems from, their shit characterization. People were extremely excited for PQ when it was first announced. Do you really think anyone but contrarians would have had a problem with the game or it's canonization if the characters were at least done right? PQ is basically the Persona equivalent of Dragon Ball Z Abridged. Vegeta has tons of pride but in abridged he's just a "MUH PRIDE" jackass. The same kind of garbage simplification is done with the Persona cast where their humor trait is now their entire personality.

Sure, it happened a bit, but its not like the characters were unrecognizable shells of their former selves or anything. They were still the same characters, just dumbed down a bit, since having 20 complex characters all interacting with each other would be kind of unreasonable. The game was still perfectly enjoyable.
