Plenty of people complain about the devs of series like Tales using the same assets and engine for ages. Tales fans have been pretty tired of the Xillia look since Xillia 2 at least.

Her Japanese voice is amazing because it's Miyuki Sawashiro, and Sawashiro's voice is literally perfect.

I actually got interested in Xillia specifically because of Sawashiro. Unfortunate we didn't get JP VAs, but I was actually okay with the Eng one for her. Sawashiro is definitely better though.

The tales series has used the Xillia graphics engine for like more than 6 years, of course everyone is sick of it
It's boring, bland, gray graphics I never really liked, it made environments boring looking, there was this tint effect that didn't look good because they were still trying to go for an anime look, the two colliding doesn't work imo
Not Only that, but the very next game after Xillia was Xillia 2, in which they reused practically the ENTIRE game of Xillia including towns, enemies, bosses, environments, there was barely any new things in the world and when a new place did become available, story shit would happen and you would never be able to go to these new places ever again
Zestiria looked exactly like Xillia, which was disappointing because it was an anniversary title, but it really doubled down on the boring gray look where nothing is colorful and the world is a boring "realistic" snore with nothing unique about anywhere you traveled to
Berseria is the most recent case of the Xillia engine but it did do some things right, while running around big open fields for nothing is still bullshit, they added little things to make the world colorful and somewhat interesting at least in comparison to the past few games, they would add flower patches and bricks to the ground for a road, make each town unique in comparison to the other, they were at least trying to cover up the Xillia engine for the first time in 6 years so I appreciate that even if it wan't much

Same VA in both games (Tsubasa Yonaga). Pretty sure they purposefully gave him a slightly aged voice in the second game to show him maturing, since his character arc in the first game was all about finding his way in life, and by Xillia 2 he was more of a mature, confident leader type.
